Deborah Crowe + Sunday Blessings*

Buy a joyful artwork and help feed the community!

Inspired by community response to Nature Wins!, an immersive 165 metre square artwork installed during Artweek 2021 on the steps of Freyberg Square, in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's CBD, this limited edition run of 100 prints was created as a fundraiser project.

When you buy this happy small-scale artwork, 50% of the sale price will be donated directly to Sunday Blessings, a grass-roots community group and charitable trust.

Run by volunteers, Sunday Blessings serves the dual purpose of addressing food insecurity in the local un-housed community; and reducing food waste. Volunteers rescue local retail food surplus to feed up to 170 guests every Sunday evening. This takes place at or outside The Ellen Melville Centre, 2 Freyberg Place, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland Central, right beside where the large 3D installation Nature Wins! occupied space.

The positive effects Deborah’s beautiful artwork has had on the space and the people who utilise it have been noticeable. Not a single volunteer or user of our service who knew the space prior to the installation was not talking about how wonderful it looked. To be involved with someone who promotes the profound effects the beauty of art and space around us has on our general well-being is an honour.

Appreciating art is not something many of guests have the opportunity to do in their everyday struggle of survival. We are thankful to be a beneficiary of Deborah’s ‘NatureWins!’ artwork on the stairs, and of this initiative.

Thank you for your consideration in supporting Sunday Blessings.
